Food was good and service was superb. We had a very good meal.
This was one of our favorite places to eat when we lived here. Two kids later and it is now one of their favorite places. Swedes never disappoints.
Showed up at 9:06 pm just wanting spring rolls. Was told they stop making food at 9:00. 😐
Great place!! Staff is amazing!! Food is out of this world!! Go get some ASAP!
Caught this place with some friends after Lamb's players. I had the crispy duck with a red curry dressing... So good! Very friendly service too.
Great food!
I was strolling by and decided to try Swaddee...the woman who waited on me was delightful. The spring rolls and the Pad Thai were the best I've had. Fabulous Food, ambience and staff...LOVED IT!!!!
Great location in the heart of Coronado, yet the atmosphere inside takes you to Thailand. The staff is courteous, prompt, and very caring. The food quality is amazing, authentic, and flavorful with generous portions (including glasses of wine). Highly recommend!
We ate here just a couple of times during our vacation (pity!). The Pad Thai was one of the two best I've ever had. The Pad Kee Mo was excellent too. The Pad Woon Sen was good. Unfortunately they did not have any dessert, even when it was mango season.
Staff was nice but they didn't have any of the fish dinners stated on their menu so I had to settle for a dish that was just not good. I was very disappointed.
Professional with good service
Lovely setting and delicious selections. The Tom Yum soup is always delicious and i recommend the Paradise noodles and drunken noodles.
Had dinner here late one night and what a sweet little shop. The chef had some unique dishes, and we chose a great rolled appetizer. I wish I had more!
Good Thai food. Traditional dishes. Well decorated. Good service. Varied spiciness to met our taste.
Amazing food...we had the dumplings, pad thai, coconut curry with tofu. The owner was great and the service was fantastic. Flavors were so fresh and authentic. Loved every bite.
Lacks compassion and kindness within their Hearts. I felt uncared for and unheard when speaking to the owner. May they find peace within themselves and relieve the suffering that propels them to treat others disrespectfully.
High quality Thai food, good even for a tourist destination like Coronado. Popular with locals. Like many Thai places, a little pricey. Better for groups or dates, rather than catching a quick relaxed meal.
Pad Thai was amazing! So glad there’s a great Thai place down the street. Will absolutely be back.
Just okay. Honestly over priced in my opinion.
Great thai food with nice atmosphere and affordable.
Great flavor and great service. Kind of expensive for Thai but it's worth it.
Massaman curry was very good. Drunken noodles were good, but light on protein. Service was great. Overall, glad I tried this place.
Great little Thai joint with authentic dishes and subtle yet classy decor. Easily walkable from the Del and wonderful for pickup to have on the balcony:)
Food is always great, customer service is immaculate, restaraunt is clean and visually pleasing. This is the top Thai cuisine in all of San Diego
Great food and service
Great Thai food for an affordable price! Great service!
I came across Swaddee by chance while walking the streets around Hotel Del. The restaurant decor is real nice, representative of Thai art and foliage. The servers are dressed in traditional garb and friendly. Bathrooms are super clean, a big plus. Prices are very reasonable and service very good. The menu is pretty much what ever Thai restaurant offers - salads, soups, starters and entrees ranging from stir fry dishes to curries with one's choice of meat or tofu. Food was just delicious. It was freshly prepared and the spice level was optimized to our unique palettes. Will visit again when in Coronado. If you feel the urge to cool off after the Thai meal, walk right next door to Nado Gelato, another great hangout place.
We had a party of seven. They were quick to accommodate. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We had various dishes...Spring Rolls, Sumer Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, Tom Kar soup and another set of noodles. All dishes were quite tasty and portions were good. They accommodated our birthday cake that we brought with dishes and silverware for the occasion. The entire staff was quite friendly and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!
A very good service!
We've been coming here for about 5 years now and LOVE it. I noticed other reviews that said the service was poor however we've never had a bad experience. I always get the Gang Kua with just veggies, no meat or tofu with a side of sticky rice. Never fails to hit the spot. I've also tried the vegetarian spring rolls and the dumplings. Both were great. Friends that we go with always try different things and are never disappointed. WARNING: If they tell you it's spicy they mean it! I can usually hold my own but the one time I tried a different dish that was spicy the lady told me I probably wouldn't like it. She was right and I thought I was dying. It is a bit on the pricier end. Expect to pay about $40 for dinner for 2 (drinks, appetizer and meals) but it's worth it to me based on the food, atmosphere and considering it's on Coronado. The restaurants there tend to be a bit more than I would spend elsewhere anyway.
Food is very good but a little pricey. Great service!
You may try this place for dinner after seeing the Sunset at Colorado beach. Service & food is satisfactory.
Food is decent. Customer service is HORRIBLE! Seems that Owner is the waitress. She told my friend that she has no time to wait for her order and she will be back in 5 minutes and she better know what to order. She was super rude at all times. she told me and my friends that if we have any complaints to go on Facebook and write them down and that she has no time for any complaints. Super super rude. I’ll no longer go there. Hopefully someone opens a Thai in the island soon!
This restaurant is bery good the food is delicius the personal is bery frenly and the owner have very good atencion Im reference to all my friends the food is in good time all the time the chef coking bery delicius im super happy all the time when I go dinner in this restaurant thanks to all staf
Some of the best red curry I have had anywhere in the world!! An unexpected gem.
Very cute restaurant. And really really good food!!We came here on a Wed evening. Lots of place available. Got seated at a booth, which was lovely. We ordered the Tom kar chicken soup, the poh tak seafood soup, red curry with white rice and drunken noodles. The soup was beautiful. They added spicy chilli and peppers which was nice touch. The seafood soup was also very good. My brother took the whole lot to himself as his meal and still couldn't finish it. I tried the broth of it and it was pretty tasty. My parents LOVED the red curry. They ordered a spice level 3/10 and thought it was spicy enough for them. My drunken noodles were really tasty. I ordered a spice level of 7/10 and it was appropriately spicy for me. We also got a Thai tea which my dad said was good. Overall, great experience and will be back for more!!
Amazing food! Fantastic people!
The food was good but the owner (who was my waitress) was very rude and with a horrible attitud, I was asking for a dish and she was almost screaming NO, so so rude that I almost run in that instant, of course I leave a very tiny tip BECAUSE SHE WAS HORRIBLE and I explained all my thoughts to another waitress, when I was leaving the owner run after me and my friends to ask about more tip! And I just say the same, she just scream YOU CAN COME BACK AND FOR SURE I‘M NOT, it’s a shame because I like the food but her service sucks.
Service was nice. My partner had mixed veggies with brown rice which was good. My pad thai however tasted ketchup-y.
WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!! So Rude to my young daughter who read her receipt wrong and thought her tip was included. The woman who worked there turned the ticket over to look at the receipt and then started completely embarrassing my daughter and humiliating her and made her leave a tip. Said to her “this is no take out now leave a tip!” Ive worked in restaurants and understand sometimes kids don’t can overlook or like my daughter misunderstand her receipt. If the lady knew anything about costumer service she should have nicely explained to my daughter the receipt and she would have given a tip with no problem! There’s nothing that excuses an adult to treat a child like that or talk to them Ever like that .. I even called to ask for the manager where apparently it was the same woman who said she couldn’t give me her owner or managers name.. had no care in the world what had happened to my daughter .. so basically that woman stole money from me..
Great location, atmosphere, presentation, and service--but food just wasn't good. Ordered yellow curry. Usually not too hot, but this was hot. And no potatoes. It had pineapple instead. Also ordered Paradise noodles. Menu said egg noodles, but they were ramen noodles. And the chicken tasted like it was three days old. Can't go back. Food is not good.
This is a wonderful place. Its unassuming from the outside, I even passed it at first looking for it. The food is amazing. I ordered the Tom Kar soup (shrimp, hot pot) along with the spring rolls and fresh rolls (shrimp). All were excellent. The inside is very inviting and comfortable, but on this day I had to take it to go. Service was quick and the prices are more than fair.
Fantastic food :)
The best Thai food in Town .. been living for so many year in Thailand and the pad Thai is just amazing , Tasna , the owner , is amazing .
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had!
The food was decent. But... Portions small. The Thai Iced tea was tiny and 90% ice. I asked for the drunken noodles to be gluten free, and after the waitress brought it out she said the chef says, if it doesn't taste good, it's on you. Uh... What else...took forever to light heat lamp after asking twice. And oh yeah, it was my 6 year old daughter's birthday and they couldn't do any thing. Cake, candle, sticky rice....? Nope. Weak.
Good location. Pretty nice atmosphere...I LOVED all the giant plants. Food was very nice. Service was very good. Pricing was normal.
I’m glad I found Swaddee and it’s walking distance from the apartment. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. For sure will be back.
Good Thai food and very convenient near to the Hotel Del Coronado. Loved the spring rolls. Very fresh. Sauce was a sweet syrup with peanuts in it so it wasn't a peanut buttery sauce . The Tom Yum was very good. Had it with chicken and there was plenty of meat in there of you like that. I would have preferred more mushrooms. Spice was very nice on that - about a 3. The massaman curries they adapted perfectly to everyone's spice tolerance who ordered it. They easily accommodate requests (no eggplant, extra broccoli) for another guest. This will satisfy your Thai craving.
All of our dishes were a bit too sweet - I expect Thai food to be bursting with flavor but this restaurant disappoints.
